Mission Statement
TEFL International, where the world is your
classroom, is a non-profit international training organization creating
intercultural opportunities for our customers through numerous educational
and multicultural services such as: teacher education; language training;
camps; internships and much more. We strive to be a fun, creative,
responsive, culturally sensitive, high value company focusing on
individual growth, customer satisfaction and helping the world communicate
better by providing valuable experiences and skills for those in need and
for those seeking to change and improve their lives.
Oversight
A Board of Academic Advisors
externally validates and moderates TEFL International and includes
internationally recognized experts in the field of English teaching as
well as locally-situated English school managers at TEFL International

All TEFL International courses meet current international
standards (over 6 hours of observed teaching practice and over 100 hours
of classroom time). Our courses maximize the cultural experiences of our
students and provide multi-cultural interaction and learning opportunities
for those in need.

We arrange credits for students
attending several universities including the following:
Every graduate receives a
letter from Sandra Silberstein, Dean of the MA TESOL program at University
of Washington recommending at least 3 graduate credits be given for course
participation.
Do you need university credit? Would you like to use

possible accreditation with your university's related education programs.

Bruce Veldhuisen - Founder and CEO
(brucev@teflintl.com ; http://tmda.net/) The founder and CEO of
TEFL International, Mr. Veldhuisen was previously Course Director of
language schools and TESOL courses in Hong Kong and Thailand for eight
years before founding the world´s largest teacher training institute and
becoming a well-known name in the industry. He holds a Masters in Business
Administration, A Bachelors of Science in International Relations and
Economics and is a certified Trinity College London teacher. Mr.
Veldhuisen is committed to growth and helping others, but maintains a
down-to-earth approach that keeps him personally involved with TI´s
programs, customers and employers ¨C a characteristic Mr. Veldhuisen has
carried over into TEFL International´s mission and one of the cornerstones
of our success.
David Hopkins, - Director of
Academics (daveh@teflintl.com) As the
director of TEFL International´s academic programs around the world, Mr.
Hopkins holds a Master´s degree in TEFL and in Intercultural Management
from the school of International Training. He has taught , developed,
managed and trained teachers in language programs in Latin America, the
Middle East, Africa and Asia for over three decades. His most recent
position before coming on board with TEFL International was the course
director at the AUA Language centre in Bangkok. Keeping up with changes in
the industry and methodologies, Mr. Hopkins has helped bring TEFL
International into the forefront of the industry with his experience and
insightful knowledge.
